Booking a Fishing Charter

If you have thought about going on a fishing charter, then theres a series of must know tips, that will help you to get the most out of your fishing trip

Before you decide to book a particular fishing charter, there is some must know tips that ensure your charter goes as you plan. Looking into how I can share my experience with you, and hopefully this means you’ll have the best time possible on the water!

Part of my occupation is working on charter boats, as a deckie, and I have witnessed many charters over the years. I can share with you from experience, that each charter is what you make of it, and if you paying for the time, you want to maximise what you get out of it by being fully prepared! In addition, I go on about 15 charters a year, purely for fun because i love fishing so much! I have gained many good tips and much information, through my years as a charter worker and insider.

Before you embark, theres a good number of must do and must know details, that you should have sorted out before the boat leaves. Try and ensure the skipper is the one you talk to!

*The time the boat leaves, and exactly where it leaves from. Marinas are hard to find your way around, and if your late, the skipper might not get to the best spots on time to catch the tides or the change of light.

*Ask what gear is your responsibility, and what is provided. Fishing gear can deteriorate fast, so to ensure that big one doesnt get away, you want good gear that is well looked after.

*Make sure you ask what the travel/fishing time split is-although this may vary due to weather. Your charter fee is best spent on fishing time, not on travelling time!

These are just a sample of the secrets that my full fishing charter tips article contains, to see them all, visit my page Fishing Charters.
