Considering Japanese Language Lessons? Before you run off and start a Japanese course, let me give you some advice from my own journey.
The first thing I need to say is that thanks to the internet and state of the art multimedia technology there are outstanding online Japanese courses available these days. This is the approach I use and let me tell you that it saves you stacks of time and money.
Before selecting a course you need to think about what it is that you want to gain at the end of the course. This may sound silly, most of you are probably thinking: To speak Japanese you fool!! So please let me quickly explain. You see some people actually want to read and write in Japanese as their job now requires them to, or they are applying for a Japanese University and the entrance requirement is writing skills.
However in saying that most people actually do want to simply become confident in conversational Japanese, and that was me!
The best online language courses as I mentioned have great multimedia, which is helpful in learning Japanese. However don’t be deceived by all the flash audio and videos, make sure the course actually is going to help you speak Japanese confidently.
The fastest and most effecient way to learn Japanese is without doubt by listening to real conversations and then breaking them down and studying them. So look for a course that is going to do that. The reasoning behind this is that your ear gets trained into hearing Japanese in context and recognises the flow and structure of Japanese at a real pace. This helps people to pick Japanese much quicker.
